FishSpan is pioneering a new concept in the fishing realm. Broadcast programs may be viewed through the webcast show of Fishspan's Archival website,  global satellite networks, cable access programming, cellular phones, all information highways to ensure communication, exposure and distribution. 

In all the years David has been shooting the fishing industry up and down the east coast, he's discovered that the fishermen, recreational, party / charter captains, and the commercial sector, do not have a media conduit or an avenue to communicate. He then came up with the creation of FishSpan, Broadcasting Global Fish News, worldwide. FishSpan.net has it's own creative innovative broadcast platform.  Not only reporting global fish news, but creating re-enactments of 'Salty Dog' Sea Stories, filming chefs at the Dockside Kitchen segway, producing series of historical featurettes, regular updates from around the world ... and Washington D.C.  That's only a few aspects of the show. Second time in history, the recreational and the commercial fishermen joined forces to protest the oppressive and stringent laws that the government has imposed on their livelihood.

FILMMAKER for the FISHERMEN
David Kaltenbach is among those who are looking to bring the fishing industry to the forefront through professionally choreographed film productions, distribution and marketing, innovative dynamic public relations and strategic planning.  Kaltenbach, who is formally schooled in biological oceanography, has worked in the field and lab as a marine scientist. David  proves he's just at home on the water as he is behind the lens of the camera.  The transition from biologist was a natural transformation that led to broadcast programs, full length feature films and documentaries. Because of his eclectic background, David speaks the same language with the fishermen, the research scientists and the advocates of the fishing industry.
